- Laurea Degree in Veterinary Medicine at the University of Bologna (Italy) 

-          PhD in Quality improvement of food for human nutrition.

-          September 16 1995 to September 15 1998 Researcher at the University of Bologna in Animal nutrition and Feeding

3)      Scientific Director of an International Course in “Sustainable fisheries and aquaculture in the Mediterranean”.

4)      External examiner in PhD final examination in Aquaculture to the University of Stirling (Scotland).
