Curriculum Vitae
Since the 1st of October 2002 is researcher at the “Dipartimento
di Chimica Industriale e dei Materiali” of the “Università di
Bologna” in the scientific sector CHIM04 (Industrial Chemistry)
From 1999 to 2002 was at the Dipartimento di Chimica Industriale
e dei Materiali” of the “Università di Bologna” with a post
doc grant (assegno di ricerca” about the sinthesis of new materials
for innovative processes.
In 2000 has obtained the PhD in Inudstrial Chemisry at the
Università di Bologna with a thesis on “natrural gas activation”
under he supervision of Prof A. Vaccari. During the PhD (1996-1999)
has carried on a research period at the catalytic laboratory of the
ECPM (l'Ecole Européenne de Chimie, Polymères et de Matériaux)
Universitè Luis Pasteur, Strasbourg (France).
In 1995 was graduate at the Università di Bologna with 110/110
under the supervision of Prof Trifirò and in 1993, after one year
of corses the Univeristy of Kent, has obtained at University
Chemistry Diploma with Merit.
Pubblication, patent and congress presentation
He is author of more than 34 pubblications in
International Journal and more than 50 congress comunications
(25 in the last 5 years) most of them in international congress. He
has done personally the oral presentations in the most important
international congress of his field of research. Among others oral
presentation in the last three ICC (international congress on
catalysis) and in three “natural gas conversion symposium”. He was
called has invited speakers and expert by different institution
among other ICS UNIDO and Università del Litoral, Santa fè
(Argentina).
He is co-inventor of 7 European and World Patent
Research Project and Management
He is responsable of several research projects supported by
national and international companies in the field of: i) gas
cleaning from mobile and fixed sources and ii) hydrogen/syngas
production from fossil and biomass sources. He has participated at
several research project of national interest (PRIN).
Nowadays he is in the steering commettee of NEXT GTL a European
Large Collaborative Project (VII FP).
He was member of the Teccom (restrict technical commettee for
the coordination of the European Integrated Project (VI FP) called
CHRSIGAS “clean hydrogen reach syntehsis gas”)He was responsible
for the Unversity of Bologna of the Collaborative Project (VII FP)
GreenSyngas.
Teaching
Since 2003 he is Professor at the Facoltà di Chimica Industriale
and specifically
he is teaching since 2010 "Sustainable process for energy
and chemistry" (Eurobachelor “Chemistry and technolgies for the
environment and materials” in Rimini). He also teached from 2003 to
2011 "Waste management and Technology" at the same univeristy
site.
from 2005 to 2011 he was professor of “Energy and
environment: resource management and technologies” (specialization
degree of Products, Materials and Processes for the Industrial
chemistry”). He has giving more than 200 hours of lectures in other
Industrial Chemistry courses at undrgraduate, Master and PhD
levels.
He is supervising 2 PhD thesis; Dott. D. Barbera since 2010
and Dr R. Mafessanti since 2011.
He has supervised 2 PhD thesis: dal 2008-2011 reforming
dell'etanolo (Dott. I. Bersani), dal 2004 al 2007 Produzione di
idrogeno da metano, (Dr. V. Rosetti). He has also supervised 5
graduation thesis and he was involved in more than 10
thesis as co-supervisor.
He was scientific director of the european summerschool
“Fuel from Biomass”, held between August 28th - September
2nd, 2006 at the University of Bologna and of
the Summerschool /training course “Second generation biofuels and beyond” held between September
14th-18th 2009 at the University of Bologna
and organised in collaboration with the ICS Unido training
program.
