CHIM/02 CHIMICA FISICA (CHIM/02)
1. Spectroscopic detection of unstable species produced in glow discharge, mainly molecular ions, wich are reactive species driving a large part of the interstellar chemistry. Laboratory measurements support observations with radio telescopes.
2. To set up of accurate methods of measuring and analysing lineshapes of rotational transitions to exploit with species of atmospheric interest. Laboratory measurements are the main source of data for analysis of atmospheric spectra.
3. To set up a millimeter-wave spectrometer with a vacuum chamber equipped with a pulsed (discharge) nozzle and an interferometer: the purpose is to observe molecular (ionic) species or clusters in supersonic expansion with the high sensitivity allowed by the resonant cavity.
